Move over Siri, there’s a New Smartphone Assistant in Town

Apple’s Siri used to be the queen of the Smartphone market since the iPhone was first introduced back in 2013 as part of the iPhone 4S. Soon after her introduction, Siri became the queen of the voice command functionality. With each new generation of the iPhone, including today’s latest 7S, has included Siri and she has remained on top.

That is until now, Google is looking to put an end to Siri’s reign as the queen with their own version called Google Assistant. Google appears to be taking direct aim at toppling Siri, by adding their own voice command system in their new smartphone, Pixel. While Apple has had a four year head start and Google is relatively new to the smartphone industry, they seem to be hoping that their instant name recognition and overall position in the technology industry will help.
